Apple Authorised Training Centre education (AATC/e)

London College of Communication is an Authorised Apple Training Centre (education) which means that through the College you can become Apple Certified in Apple's range of Professional Applications - Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Motion, Aperture. All full and part time students at UAL can become an Apple Certified Pro whilst studying at the Unversity providing you pass the exam, of course!

Why should you consider becoming an Apple Certified Pro
  • Raise your earning potential. Studies show that certified professionals can earn more than their non-certified peers
  • Distinguish yourselves from others in your industry. Proven mastery of a technology helps you stand out from the crowd
  • Increase your marketability. Hiring managers tend to favour candidates whose knowledge and skills are validated by certification
  • Advance more quickly in your career. Take control of your career in a fast-paced, dynamic world. With shortages in many specialised fields, certification can give you control of your own path and help you progress more quickly through the ranks.
  • Stay current and relevant in your field. Maintaining current certification in your industry demonstrates initiative and helps you stay ahead of the curve.
  • Deliver more creative work, faster through having an in depth knowledge of the applications.

Apple Pro Apps Training and Certification

We recommend that you should have used the software for at least a year as part of your University course before you consider taking the exam, in this way you should have been able to master the software to a level where you are able to confidently take the exam. Speak with your tutor who will be able to advise you about whether you are ready to take the exam or whether you need to do some work work with the software application or possibly consider one of the Saturday courses. Your tutor will also be able to tell you who to contact next.

An alternative way would be to sign up for one of our Saturday programmes, four consecutive Saturdays for Final Cut Pro (FCP102) or Logic Pro (Logic 102) and three consecutive Saturdays for Aperture (Aperture 101). Other courses such as Motion can also be arranged providing there are enough people interested in becoming Apple Certified.

Other Apple Training courses

We will also be offering an introduction to Snow Leopard, iLife 09 and iWorks 09.

Snow Leopard

The Snow Leopard course is designed for those people who want to get the most from their Apple hardware and for those who may be considering further training in the Mac OS, maybe the Mac OS Support Essentials course. This class is designed for those new to the Mac OS X platform who need to obtain the skills to support other Mac OS X users. This could include entry level IT personnel in businesses that use Mac OS X systems for general productivity or creative design

iLife 09 and iWorks 09 courses

Apple offers Associate Certification and preparatory training for the iLife and iWork product suites. Professionals, educators and students can earn Apple Certified Associate status to validate their skills in our digital lifestyle and authoring applications.
